Thank you for visiting our projects page. We need to build an infrastructure in the rural villages to support the computer labs in the libraries. In order to have sufficient energy resources, we will build a solar system that also provides inexpensive electrical power. Undoubtedly, the rural villages will benefit from these significant upgrades.
There are five divisions in Gambia: North Bank, Lower River, Upper River, Central River and Western District. As a start, we want to concentrate our efforts on the North Bank. We will update our progress for your viewing in the respective sections below. Upon completion of our projects in the North Bank, we will replicate them in other divisions.
If you would like to review Historical information about The Gambia, please click here for a .pdf version of data replicated from The Republic of The Gambia at NiiCA.
Consisting of approximately 172,806 residents, the North Bank divison is east of the Western division, spanning 2,256 square kilometers (871 square miles.) The village of Yallal/Numakunda lies southwest of Farafenni.
Currently, there is one elementary school in the village for grades 1 through 8. Upon completion, children travel to Farafenni to attend upper-division courses (the equivalent of high school in the United States.)
